Gatlinburg, Tenn - Shirley Ann Henry, 73, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at her residence in Gatlinburg after a brief illness. She was born February 13, 1936 in Fulton to Roscoe and Ervin Green Works. A graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School , she then attended Itawamba Community College.She was an avid flower gardner and enjoyed bird watching and appreciated the beautiful area in which she lived. She also enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, Dude. She was a member of the Pentecostal church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Senter Funeral Home with Mr. Sammy Lansdell and Rev. Glenn Wiygul officiating. Burial will be in Bourland Cemetery near Fulton. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of seven years, Dane (Dude) Henry, Gatlinburg, Tenn./Saltillo; one son, Brian Rand (Kristie) of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Lanell Schmidt of Fulton; three grandchildren, Nathan, Nolen, and Sara Rand; two step-children, Tim Henry (Jennifer) of Saltillo and Angie Scott (Donny) of Saltillo; three step-grandchildren, Morgan and Derek Scott and Jacob Henry; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters.
Pallbearers will be Brian Rand, Tim Henry, Donny Scott, Barry Green, Tony Green, Doug Smith.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Senter funeral home.
