SHAWN MORTON Saltillo - James Shawn Morton, 39, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Tupelo on May 28, 1973, to James Wayne Morton and Bonita McKinney Morton. He enjoyed fishing. He was a beloved son, father and brother. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Tupelo Memorial Park, on Joyner Avenue. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his two sons, James "J.C." and Doug Morton of Texas; his father and step-mother, Wayne and Julie Morton of Saltillo; his sister, Kim Robbins (Brandon) of Ingomar; three brothers, Cameron Groves (Star)of Alaska, Aaron Bivins (Amy) and Eric Bivins (Jordana) both of Tupelo; two uncles, James and Terry McKinney of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita McKinney Hester. Pallbearers will be James and Terry McKinney, Eric and Aaron Bivins, Tony Smith and Tony Cox. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, at the funeral home.
