SFC. (Ret). Robert W. Caygle

Auburn Community- Robert W. Caygle, 76, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born in Painesville, Ohio March 22, 1941 to Wilbert LaVerghn and Lucille Chaney Caygle. He was the widower of Janice W. Caygle. They were married 52 years.
Robert served in the United States Army from 1963 until his retirement in 1983. He completed two tours in Vietnam as a screaming eagle. Upon retirement, he moved home to the Auburn Community.
He enjoyed working on cars, being outside and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves behind two sons, Steve Caygle and his wife, Susan of Plantersville, Laverghn Caygle and his wife, Dawn of Dorsey; one daughter, Tami Brown and her husband, Brad of Auburn; five grandchildren, B.J. Brown, Channing Caygle, Wesley Caygle, Sarah Grace Caygle, Clay Caygle; and one sister, Marie Pearson of Yazoo City.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two brothers.
Visitation will be 5 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Jimmy Henry, Rev. Danny Balint and Dr. Kevin Clayton officiating. Graveside service with Military Honors will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Brown, Channing Caygle, Wesley Caygle, Clay Caygle, Cody Enlow, Rex Berryman, Perry Wilburn and Craig Caygle with a special presentation by Sarah Grace Caygle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Wood, Bill Camp, Allen Brown, Amos Lawman and Daniel Gillian.
