Holly Springs - Sarah Lillian Carpenter Christian, 82, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Trinity Missions in Holly Springs. She worked for Holiday Inn and The Natchez Trace for many years. She loved her job and all the people she came into contact with. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she would not hesitate to let you know. She loved each and every family member and never criticized anyone or anything.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include her brothers, John Paul Christian (Phyllis) and Roy Carpenter of Holly Springs and Ronnie Carpenter (Diane) of Drummonds, Tennessee; one son, James Eldon Christian (Teresa) of Georgetown, South Carolina; one daughter, Sylvia Papp of Lake Worth, Florida; granddaughters, Angie Christian and Leah Bazuik of Phoeniz, Arizona; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Christian; her mother, Clara Lillian Carpenter; her father, Earl Carpenter, Sr.; her brothers, William, Hugh and Earl Carpernter, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Stephen, Kenneth, Brad, Danny and Chris Carpenter, Austin Sanders, Alan Sarwat and Carl James Scherff.

Visitation will be 10:30 until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
