SARAH CALDWELL Chesterville - Sarah Caldwell, 82, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at her residence. A Pontotoc native, she was born May 24, 1931, to Melvin and Mary Lucille Bobo Holcomb. She was the widow of Bill Caldwell. A joyful and diligent worker, Sarah spent 29 years working for the Exxon Express in Tupelo. Gardening, cooking and going to yard sales were among some of the hobbies she enjoyed most. She spent many hours playing board games with her sisters, children and grandchildren. A very caring woman, she spent her life taking care of others. Sarah loved her family deeply and cherished time spent with them. She attended Chesterville Calvary Church. A celebration of life for Sarah will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Wesley Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Chesterville Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, James "Hub" Smith (Connie) of the Chesterville Community and Rex Allen Smith (Phyllis) of Gurnee, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mozelle Lea and Fay Burleson (Buddy) both of the Chesterville Community. She was preceded in death by her husband; three daughters, Angel Smith, JoAnn Adams and Peggy Tennison; her parents; one brother, Buddy Bobo. Pallbearers will be C.J. and Michael Smith, Benji Boydstun, J.R. Lea, Steve Ennis and David Hall. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013, at the funeral home.
