Sara Haley Sides, 24, died, Monday, February 4, 2019. She was born in Somerville, Tennessee January 15, 1995, to Michael Anthony Sides and Teasha Mae Whitten. She was a 2013 graduate of Mooreville High School and received her Associates Degree in Medical Coding from Itawamba Community College in 2016. After graduating from ICC, she worked as a medical coder in the billing department of Tupelo Anesthesia Group and North Mississippi Medical Center. Sara was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She had a heart of gold and greeted everyone with a smile. Her fun loving soul and free spirit kept her ready for the next adventure. She was an avid horseback rider and loved kayaking. She worked hard and was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. Sara was a devoted Christian and was a member of Pine Grove Community Church in Nettleton.
Survivors include her three year old son, Case Dawson Harris and his father, Justin; mother and step-father, Jeff and Teasha Whitten of Pontotoc; father, Tony Sides of Columbiana, Alabama; two sisters, Lacey Sides and her boyfriend, Bryan Hallmark of the Carolina Community and Madelyn Greenfield of Fort Scott, Kansas; two brothers, Dylan Sides of Columbiana and Laton Whitten of Pontotoc; grandparents, Debra Kimler of Parsons, Tennessee and Peggy Morris and her husband, L.A. Taunton of Notasulga, Alabama; great-grandmother, Barbara McNabb of Oakland; and many more extended family and friends.
She was preceded is in death by her grandfathers, Charles Tucker and Rudy Sides; great-grandmother, Faye Champion; great-grandfather, William McNabb; and her boyfriend, Matthew Harris.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Thursday, February 7, 2019, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Bill Monaghan officiating. Graveside services will follow in New Chapel Cemetery in Itawamba County.
Pallbearers will be Tony Sides, Jeff Whitten, Brandon McNabb, Josh Hall, Mike Farris and Bryan Hallmark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Harris, Dylan Sides, Laton Whitten and Weston Harris.
