Sara Marion Bryson

February 1, 1924 — December 13, 2018

Tupelo- Sara Marion Bryson, 94, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Tupelo. She was born in Nettleton February 1, 1924 to Withmond and Salome Sledge Marion. She was so proud to be born in the Marion family and was the last surviving member.  She loved her hometown Nettleton and also Amory where she spent much time as a child with her grandparents. In 1972, She lost the love her life, Charles Reed Bryson when she was 48 years old.



She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She gave integrity and honesty to everyone and was fearful of God. She loved her daughters, Cherry and Kitty and grandchildren, especially Scotty and Isaac. Sara was loved dearly by everyone around her. She was a fighter until the last minute and was never afraid. She left clear instructions in life and death. She will be sorely missed and remembered forever. She was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church loved her church dearly.



Survivors include two daughters, Cherry Bush and Kitty Hall; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Sledge, Burns and Witt; and four sisters, Martha, Johnnie, Frances and Jo.



A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, followed by interment of her remains in the church columbarium.



Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the church.
