Sandy Frew

July 22, 1957 — November 24, 2024

Tupelo

Tupelo-Sandra Lynn Frew, 67, passed away peacefully at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1957, in Clarksdale. Sandy was the daughter of Daniel Willis and Betty Jean Burr Willis. Sandy worked as the office manager in the Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Therapy department at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, afterward she found joy as a caretaker for her family.

Sandy moved to Tupelo 13 years ago, embraced her new community and became an active member of The Orchard. She found great joy in life’s simple treasures—she loved exploring new places through travel with her husband David, she created many cherished memories with her family, and showered her grandchildren with love and affection. The strength and courage she displayed inspired all who knew her. She was immensely loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 31 years, Harvey David Frew of Tupelo; three children, Carmen Hill and her husband, Adam, of Saltillo, Stacia Johnston and her husband, Rex, of Texas, and Wendy Overstreet of Ruleville; six grandchildren, Kennedy Tedford, Benton Hill, Bailey and Dani Johnston, Jon and Todd Gore; one sister, JoAnn McClain Parker of Georgia; and one brother, William T. McClain of Clarksdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Daniel Dwayne Willis and Phillip Michael McClain.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date to honor Sandy’s memory.
