Mooreville - Sandra Gale Miles, 58, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born November 29, 1949 to James and Eva Lavelle Bacon McKissack. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of Word of Life Church.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tommy Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Union.
Survivors include her husband of ten years, Michael Miles of Mooreville; one daughter, Sherry Pace and husband, Larry, of Tupelo; one son Ron Cottom and wife, Christy, of Tupelo; one step-daughter, Britany Miles of Fulton; four grandchildren; one sister, Pat Bridges and husband, Jim, of Skyline; one sister-in-law, Teresa McKissack; two nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry McKissack.
Pallbearers will be Ray Clayton, Archie Ransey, Larry Hughes, Earl Miles, and Anthony Maclin.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
