SANDRA HANSON Lake Piomingo - Sandra Fay Hanson, 65, died August 16, 2012 at the Regency Hospital of Meridian after a brief illness. She was born on December 6, 1946 to Eugene and Mary Lou McBrayer. She married James E. Hanson on September 1, 1978. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and riding them on the Jet Ski. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, James E. Hanson of Lake Piomingo; three daughters, Tammy Edens (Greg) of Jacksonville, Flordia, Elizabeth Easton (Mark) of Pensacola, Flordia, Marion Cook (Paul) of Jacksonville, Flordia; one step-daughter, Kelly Johnson of Marietta, Georgia; her mother, Mary Lou Christian of Mooreville; one sister, Betty Sample (Billy) of Guntown; her half-brother, Donald McBrayer of Cabot, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene McBrayer and step-son Michael Hanson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
