Tupelo - Sandra K. Geno, 49, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Baldwyn native, she was born September 14, 1956 to the late Blanton and Mary Delene Harrison Outlaw. She was disabled at the time of her death but had worked at West Jackson Street Baptist Church and Smith's Catering. She served as the banner ministry and costume coordinator at West Jackson where she was actively involved in the beginning of the banner ministry. She served several years as a teacher in the Children's Division of Sunday School and as craft coordinator for Vacation Bible School. She took her talents outside the church by serving as craft coordinator on a mission trip to Cherokee, NC and as banner ministry instructor for HeartSong at Gulf Shore Baptist Assembly. Throughout the battle with her illness she served as an inspiration to many because of her extreme faith and trust in God.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at West Jackson Street Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Harper and Rev. Don Trammel officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Bobby Geno of Tupelo, one daughter Maria Geno of the home; two sons, Bradley Geno of Winona and Terry Geno of the home; five sisters, Juanita Miller of Red Bay, Brenda King and husband Jim of Henderson, TN, Shelia Ellis and husband Zane, Mary Manley, Elizabeth Thompson, and husband Bill and Debra Henderson and husband Jerry all of Booneville; two brothers, Milton and Bonnie Outlaw of Booneville; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Binder of Jackson and Bettie Robinson of Booneville; special friends, Roger and Eleanor Smith, Mike and Atonya Smith and Glenda Galey all of Tupelo; several neices and nephews.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. untill 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home Tuesday, March 7, 2006.
