Tupelo - Sally Jane Mann, 83, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born February 4, 1929 in Arkansas to Everette Elsworth and Lydia Matilda Ellis. She attended Lawndale Presbyterian Church in Tupelo. She loved making candles and cassette tapes for her family.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Lawndale Presbyterian Church in Tupelo, Mississippi with Rev. Nate Shurden, Rev. Bill Bradford and Rev. Brandt Hammack officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2012 at Lake Park Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.
Survivors include two daughters, Debera Shaw (Gary) of Tupelo and Lacretta Shurden (George) of Laurel; three sons, Roger Dale Mann of Mt. View, Arkansas, David Charles Mann (Renee) of Laurel and Everett Mann (Tabitha) of Grenada; four sisters, Marcia Hornbarger of Michigan, Elizabeth Paulson of Nevada, Gloria Reynolds (J.D.) of Batesville, Arkansas and Gail Reel of California; twelve grandchildren, Aubrey Temple (Andy) of Petal, Marty Hammack (Brandt) of Marion, Alabama, Rev. Nate Shurden (Christy) of Franklin, Tennessee, Andrea Heinrich of Laurel, Kenny Paul Mann of Laurel, Marshall and Mason Mann both of Mt. View, Arkansas, Tina Reed (Elvis) of Tiplersville, Jennifer Aguilar (Juan) of Laurel, Latasha Beech and Chad Mann, both of Ellisville; twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grover Cleveland Mann; three brothers, Phillip, Charles and Sonny Ellis.
Visitation will be following the service at the Church in Tupelo.
