SALLY ADDIS COOPER

Tupelo - SALLY ADDIS COOPER, 100, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at the Page Green House At Traceway after an extended illness. She was born March 11, 1907 in Benton County to the late Franklin and Lillie Huspeth Bush. She was a longtime resident of Lee County. Earlier in life, she worked at Reed Manufacturing and for the WPA during World War II. She also worked several years at Lamb's Rest Home. She was the widow of Audie Franklin Cooper who preceded her in death in December of 1966. She loved flowers and was especially known for her rose garden. She also enjoyed fishing and her 28 year old pet cat, Blue. She was a faithful and dedicated member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at West Jackson Street Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Harper and Dr. Ken Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Payne's Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Lillie Pauline Helms of Auburn, Linnie Martilla Croft and husband, James, of Eupora; two sons, Dr. Alvis Kenneth Cooper and wife, Martha, of Myrtle and Dwight Burdine Cooper of Shannon; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and two children, Talmage Franklin Cooper and Clara Maxine Wigginton; three brothers, Ireland Bush, Conley Bush, J.W. Bush; a sister, Gladys Gadd; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marty Cooper, Johnny Cooper, Timothy Stults, Ray Wigginton, Larry Wigginton, and Clifford Wigginton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Minor, Sammy Ray Seymore, Ricky Littlejohn, Rex Helms, Chris Doss, Dewey Hutcheson, Ricky Roberts, William McIlwain, and Zack Helms, Roger Denton, David Denton, Joe Cooper, Scotty Cooper, Danny Wigginton, Joe Wigginton, and Jason Helms.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
