RUTH ELLIS WEAVER
Richmond Community - Ruth Ellis Weaver departed this world to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Born August 17, 1929 in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillie Sullivan McCollum. Ruth was a strong woman of faith and a faithful member of Richmond Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family and church family unconditionally. Ruth was a retired supervisor in the furniture industry.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Judy Peter (Jake) of the Evergreen Community; sons, Charles Ellis, Jr. (Lynn), Robert Ellis (Vicky) and Rocky Ellis all of Mooreville; sister, Georgia Russell; brother, George McCollum; fifteen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Ellis; second husband, Johnny Weaver; five grandchildren, three sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 with visitation from noon until service time. Rev. Ricky Pierce will be officiating and burial will be in Priceville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth White, Justin White, Wayne White, Johnny White, Andrew White and Jeremy McCollum.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Bryant, David Downs and Paul Moore.
