RUTH V. ROBINSON
Beech Springs - Ruth V. Robinson, 94, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at her home in the Beech Springs community after a sudden illness. She was a native of Rienzi, and the daughter of Edward Vanderford and Annie Rogers Vanderford. She was a longtime resident of Beech Springs and a member of Beech Springs Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and the widow of Frank Robinson. She loved her Sunday school class, growing flowers and working in her yard.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Dennis Kizzire officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Bowles and husband, James T., of the Brewer community; two sons, Jerry Robinson and wife, Virginia, of Wesley Cove, and Ken Robinson and wife, Marylin, of Beech Springs; a daughter-in-law, Martha Robinson Monaghan and husband, Robert, of Beech Springs; two sisters, May Hill and Kate Stanford, both of Beech Springs; one brother, Amos Vanderford of Corpus Christi, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Frank Robinson and Milton "Dude" Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Bowles, Steve Bowles, Phil Pontotoc, Kirk Robinson, Eric Maloney and Roger Angle.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
