RUTH LOUISE HERRING Tupelo - Ruth Louise Herring, 95, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Golden Living Center after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Tupelo, she was born January 28, 1920 to Richard and Samantha Clayton Robison. Ruth was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was Baptist by faith.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Bobby Robins officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughters, Anita Louise Maples (Billy) of Plantersville, Mary Carr of Mooreville and Debra Howard (Jonathan) of Guntown; grandchildren, Tommy Holcomb, Robert Holcomb, James Holcomb, Jimmy Holcomb, Sabrina Smith, Amy Bivins, Phillip Wilburn; several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of over 50 years, William Arthur Herring, sisters, Lois Conaway and Neely Mae Ford, brothers, Robert Robison and Owen Robison; grandchildren, Rickey Holcomb, Felicia Smith and Cleve Smith.
Visitation will be 2 until 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
