RUBY OXNER
Saltillo - Ruby Lene Oxner, 67, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a long illness. She was born in Olive Branch to Buddy Greenwood and Mary Langston Greenwood, who preceded her in death. She was a longtime resident of Saltillo. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the widow of Samuel Edward Oxner.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Danny Robbins officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Fredia Thrasher and husband, Danny, of Saltillo; one son, Samuel Edward Oxner Jr. of the Richmond community; six grandchildren, Danny Ray Thrasher and wife, Tammy, Lisa Sue Thrasher, Carrie Lynn Barrett and husband, Jeff, and Dana Kay Horton and husband, Chris, all of Saltillo, Leighann Oxner of Richmond and John Edward Oxner of Guntown; seven great-grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Ashley, Brandon, Jeremiah, Noah and Jonah.
Pallbearers will be Randall Houston, Ray Thrasher, Bobby Sellers, Chris Horton, Drew Carrisoza and Jackie Thrasher.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapel.
