Tupelo - Ruby Inmon "Ms. Ruby" Hutchison, 78, long time Nursery Director at Calvary Baptist Church died Thursday, May 28, 2015, in her home in Tupelo. A Lee County native, she was born July 17, 1936 to Felon Clyde Inmon and Ethel Dee Finney Inmon. Earlier in her life she worked a number of years as a telephone operator with South Central Bell. Ms. Ruby, as she was affectionately known by her children in the Calvary Nursery served as the Nursery Director for over 30 years. She was the widow of Charles F. "Buckie" Hutchison who preceeded her in death July 7, 2000. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ruby was an avid gardener and loved growing both flowers and vegetables. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at The Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Tim Roaten officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Anna Thompson of Tupelo; one son, Dr. Charles Hutchison Jr. (Anita) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; one brother Buddy Inmon (Patricia) of Nettleton; eight grandchildren, Christy Leigh Hutchison Whited (Paul); William Hutchison (Brittanie) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Michelle Sisk (Joe), Ashley Bridges (Jordan) of Booneville, Hunter Thompson (Kayla) of Shannon, Katelyn Story of Hattiesburg, Tyler Sisk, Will Tucker; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. "Buckie" Hutchison. Pallbearers will be Lane Inmon, Levi Inmon, Will Tucker, Hunter Thompson, William Hutchison and Paul Whited. Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
