Ruby Kingsley

February 14, 1915 — October 7, 2008

Eggville - Ruby Ione Kingsley, 93, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at an assisted living center in the Skyline Community after a brief illness. An Eggville Community native and lifelong resident, she was born February 14, 1915, to Joseph Francis and Elizza Smith Simpson. She was a homemaker and employed by Reeds Manufacturing Company for a number of years. She married Joe Talmadge Kingsley April 1, 1933 and he preceded her in death January 21, 1973. She was a faithful member of Eggville Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Eggville Cemetery with Minister Leon Willis officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her brother, Joe Francis Simpson, Jr., and wife, Edith of Tupelo; her nieces and nephews, Charles Turner, James Turner, Tommy Turner, Patricia Moore, Jimmy Hodges, Pamela Hodges, Joe F. Simpson, III, and Melinda Simpson Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and a daughter, Joan Elizabeth Kingsley, born September 30, 1942 and died January 31, 1950..

Pallbearers will be Hoyt Curbow, Grady Keith, Ron Hickerson, Jimmy Hodges, Kelly Thompson, L.E. Lamb.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
