Tupelo Ruby Christine Sanders Clemons Gregory, 81, died Sunday, August 15, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 8, 1928 to Percy Clark and Ora Clyde Sanders. She was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Shiloh Baptist Church in East Lafayette County with Rev. Steve Cohee and Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Rogers Clemons of Tupelo, Linda Hankins (Larry) of Nesbit, Fran Manning (Eddie) of Tupelo, Jimmy Clemons (Annette) of Saltillo; 10 grandchildren, Tyler Clemons, Kevin Clemons, Christy Kearns, Hank Hankins, Joey Hankins, Clark Manning, Tommy Clemons, Jay Clemons, Justin Clemons, Brandie Dunnam; 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, J. O. Clemons, Sr.; two brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Clark Manning, Jay Clemons, Justin Clemons, Kevin Clemons, Jerry Blalock, and Joey Hankins.
Visitation will be 4 - 9 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services.
