RUBY CUMMINGS
MELBOURNE, FLRuby Savely Cummings died Thursday, December 8, at the William Childs Hospice House in Melbourne, FL at the age of 93. She was born September 17, 1912, to the late Andrew Westfield Savely and Gladys Smith Savely of Shannon. She graduated from Emory University with a degree in nursing. She was a resident of Birmingham, AL for 55 years where she was a member of the Quilters Guild. She was also a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 am, Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Tupelo with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Hershel Wiygul is officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Sally Cook and two grandchildren, Ariel and Colin Cook, all of Malabar, FL; and one sister, Opal Flurry of Nettleton.
