Roy Witt

Verona - Roy Witt, 58, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at his residence after an extended illness. A Lee County native, he was born June 18, 1952 to Hill and Geneva Wilson Witt. He was married May 16, 1975 to Linda Suddieth and they recently celebrated 35 years of being happily married. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved his dog, Princess and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Witt of Verona; one daughter, Peggy Sue Witt of Booneville; one sister, Joyce Ann Witt of Plantersville; niece and special caregiver, Jamie Phillips (Shane) of Mantachie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva W. Wright and his father, Hill Witt; two brothers, Danny Ray Witt and Robert Lee Witt.

Pallbearers will be Terry Maxcy, Shane Phillips, James Johnson and Bobby Williams.
