Rosemary Prato

Fulton - Rosemary Prato, 85, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Courtyards Community Living Center after an extended illness. She was born August 17, 1924, in Shamokin, Penn. She had lived in South Florida for a time but was a long-time resident of Ripley in her later years. She was the widow of Carmen Gentile who preceded her in death 49 years ago. She retired from the US Postal Service but she continued to be active with her many hobbies. She enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, and flower gardening. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Services will be Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Father Mario Solorzano officiating.

Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Nance of New Albany; one son, Carmen Gentile (Tara) of Florida; four grandchildren, Carli Gentile and Denielle Gentile of Florida and Samantha Nance of New Ablany and Staci Kline (Tom) of Fulton; one brother, Bob Shepard of Shamokin, Penn.; two great-gransons, Thomas and Andrew Kline.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
