Rose Fischer

Starkville- Rose Mary Hagmann Fischer, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the age of 89. Rose Mary was born in New Orleans, Louisiana November 17, 1931. She spent the majority of her life in the New Orleans area but after Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Starkville Mississippi. Rose Mary loved nature and could always be found in her gardens. She was a very happy and generous person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her children, David Fischer (Cindy), Mary Janssen (Ray), Barbara Lancaster (Jim), Thomas Fischer (Christine), Robert Fischer (Megan), and Stephen Fischer (Linda). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Damian W Fischer; parents, Joseph and Violet Hagmann; and brother, Joseph Hagmann.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville.
Funeral Mass honoring Rose’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at St Joseph Catholic Church.
