Ronald Mason

November 9, 1938 — July 3, 2009

Belden " Ronald F. Mason, 70, died Friday, July 3, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a farm accident. A native of Pontotoc County, he was born November 9, 1938 to R. B. and Delora Holcomb Mason. He was a retired industrial maintenance worker. He was a member of Belden Baptist Church. He was a member of the North Mississippi Pony Pullers Association, which was his favorite hobby.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Don Baggett and Bro. Owen Riddick officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Martha A. Mason of Belden; one son Laine Mason (Jane) of Belden; two daughters Rhonda Clayton of Macedonia, Karen Klump (T.J.) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Salena Morgan (Gary) of Endville, Michael Mason of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Tyler Franks of Belden, Zackary Laine and Sarah Jane Mason of Belden; three great-grandchildren, Randy, Riley Ruthann Morgan of Endville; one brother Bill Mason of Hickory, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews, and special lifetime friend Billy Ray Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joyce Jenkins and Evelyn Meggs Tutor.

Pallbearers will be Michael Mason, Tyler Franks, Lindsey Mason, Gary Morgan, Tommy Carruth, and Dennis Moon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be friends from the North Mississippi Pony Pullers Club, and members of his Sunday School Class at Belden Baptist Church.

Visitation will continue 8 a.m. until service time Sunday, July 5, 2009.
