ROGER MILLER

Tupelo - ROGER DALE MILLER, 58, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. An Ironton, Mo. native, he was born March 1, 1949 to Mary Ann Bock Miller and the late Delbert Cecil Miller. He was a graduate of The University of Arkansas at Monticello where he earned a degree in education. He worked for Roadway Express for 29 years and also at Home Depot since it first opened in Tupelo. He was an active member of the Tupelo Lion's Club and served as past president. He was an avid pheasant hunter and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Les Perry officiating. Graveside services will be in Miller's Family Cemetery in Fredericktown, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Rakestraw Miller of Tupelo; one daughter, Jennifer Miller of Little Rock, Ark.; one son, Chris Miller and wife, Dana, of Tupelo; his mother, Mary Miller of Fredericktown, Mo; three grandchildren, Drew Miller, Brooke Miller, and Jake Miller; two brothers, Cecil Miller and wife, Florence, of Park Hill, Mo and Jim Miller and wife, Pam, of Ballwin, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert C. Miller; his uncle, Edward Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Tupelo Lion's Club.

Visitation will be 5 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Because of his active support of St. Judes, the family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
