ROGER E. GUERNSEY

Tupelo - Roger Emens Guernsey, 57, died Sunday, October 22, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Worcester, Mass. native, he was born April 5, 1949, to the late Emens and Louise Turner Guernsey. He was a graduate of Worcester Academy in Worcester, Mass. and then went on to earn his bachelors degree. Most of his life was spent in New England. He retired as a self-employed career consultant. After retirement, he moved to Tupelo where he lived the past two and a half years. He was a 30 year member of Alcoholics Annonymous which had a tremendous impact on his life. He enjoyed sailing and traveling and spending time with his cocker spaniel, "Phylicia."

A Memorial Service will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Sanctuary Hospice House with Rev. Randy Gillespie officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of ten months, Jun Chen (Annie) Guernsey, in China, and her son, Chaoran; special friend, Anita Baltzersen; two aunts and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a young sister, Pamela.
