ROGER FIELDS Tupelo - Roger Dale Fields, 68, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born August 13, 1944, in Lee County to Wallace R. and Margarene Ellis Fields. He was a lifelong resident of the Richmond Community. He retired from Krueger Metal Manufacturing as the shipping foreman after twenty-eight years. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed riding his Kawasaki Mule and 4-wheelers with his grandchildren. He was an avid car collector and story teller. He was also a 32nd degree Shriner and Master Mason of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #97. He was a member of the Richmond Baptist Church but he also attended the Richmond Pentecostal Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Ricky Pierce officiating. Masonic graveside services will be held at Andrew's Chapel Cemetery immediately following funeral services. Survivors include his wife of almost fifty years, Mrs. Doris Fields of the Richmond Community; two daughters, Amy Fields Caples (Jessie) and Susan Fields Loden (Ricky) both of the Evergreen Community; one sister, Connie Fields of the Richmond Community; six grandchildren, Chris and Kayla McMillen, Carson and Reid Loden and Matthew and Chase Caples all of the Evergreen Community. He was preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents, Richard and Minnie Kelly Fields and Relmon and Eula Mae Presley Ellis. Pallbearers will be Hayden Willis, Doyle Lofton, Keith Glissen, Terry Jones, Nat Collins and Joel Shumpert. Visitation will be 5 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the funeral home.
