Tupelo - Roger Dale Clemons, 72, died Monday, September 10, 2018, at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born in Oxford, March 18, 1946, to James Owen and Ruby Christine Sanders Clemons. He was a graduate of Coldwater High School and received an Associate Degree from Northwest Community College. Roger served in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War and had also served as a Military Police Officer in Germany in the late 60's. Later in life, he owned and operated a roofing company in Southaven for a number of years. Most of his life he had a tremendous love of horses and owned R&R Stables on Old Saltillo Road during the 80's. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Tyler Clemons of North Carolina and Butch Clemons of Corinth; one brother, Jimmy Clemons of Tupelo; two sisters, Linda Hankins of Southaven and Frances Manning of Tupelo; several grandchildren; and one special friend, Johnny Lewis Rodgers of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
