Robert C. Pettigrew Jr.

Tupelo—Robert Clinton Pettigrew Jr. passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center at the age of 86. Born in Plantersville on July 8, 1935 Robert was the son of Robert C. Pettigrew Sr. and Irene Coggin Pettigrew. Following his high school graduation from Nettleton, he attended ICC. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Robert worked for over 40 years at Daybright Industries, now Signify. He enjoyed working the land and growing crops on his farm.
He leaves behind his two children, Lesa Armstrong (Neil) of Amory and Michael Pettigrew (Jenifer) of Tupelo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and another great-grandchild due soon.
The family will honor Robert’s life with a time of visitation from 12 until 2p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo. Private graveside services will follow at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Neil Armstrong, Michael Pettigrew, Jesse Pettigrew, Tony Williams, Eddie Armstrong, and Jerry Crocker.
