Robert Murphy

Saltillo - Robert Shawn Murphy, 37, died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born June 5, 1971 in Greenwood to Robert W. Murphy and Shelia McMurry Moore. He grew up and lived most of his life in Tupelo. He worked in delivery for Eagle One Pharmacutical. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and canoeing, and spending time on his computer.

A gathering for friends and family to celebrate his life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at his grandmother's residence, Earlene Jowers.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Murphy of Saltillo;two children, Brieanna Nicole Murphy and William Cody Hallmark; his mother, Shelia Moore and husband, Larry, of Saltillo; his father, Robert W. Murphy and wife, Linda, of Ecru; his sister, Tammy Streetman and husband, Randall, of Mantachie; his step-brother, Dustin Murphy of Columbus; his grandmother, Earlene Jowers of Saltillo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Jowers; his paternal grandparents, Wilson Murphy and Connie Forsyth; and his brother, Jeffrey Thomas Murphy.
