Robert Mashburn
Saltillo- Holley Robert Mashburn, 70, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his home. He was born January 18, 1949 in California to Bill Mashburn and Leonia Brock Mashburn. He graduated from W. P. Daniels High School in New Albany. On November 30, 1974, he married the former Kathey Cox. He was an active member of Tupelo Church of God. He was a Sunday school and camp teacher. Robert was a cabinet builder and finisher for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed antiquing and playing rook.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathey Mashburn of Saltillo; foster mother, Ann Ruth White of New Albany; three children, Jeffrey Jackson and his wife, Wendy of Saltillo, Dreama George and her husband, Scott of Saltillo and Dawn Mashburn of Saltillo; six grandchildren, Brandy Murphy and her husband, Judd, Joshua Jackson, Megan Jackson, Brittany George, Noah Jackson, Matthew George; three great-grandchildren, Fisher Murphy, Chandler Jackson and Parker Jackson; two sisters, Ann Long and her husband, Jim of Virginia and Louise White of Tupelo; one brother, Wesley Mashburn and his wife, Sandy of Idaho; foster siblings, Liz Jennings, Pam White, Steven White, Chris White and mother-in-law, Mary Cox of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Leonia Mashburn; foster father, M. D. White; brother, Leroy Mashburn and sister, Joy Hampton.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Tupelo Church of God.
Services honoring his life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Tupelo Church of God with Rev. Judd Vowell officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Bethel Springs, Tennessee. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Marty Cox, Jonathan Cox, R.C. Cox, Coty Payne, Judd Murphy and Greg Murphy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Armstrong, Patrick Armstrong and Joshua Jackson.
