Saltillo- Robert Bobby L. Sandlin, 62, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after complications from a minor surgery. He was a retired construction worker, avid gardener, fisherman and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Frank Breaux officiating. Burial will at home in the family cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kim Sandlin; his mother, Mary Edith Sandlin of Saltillo; one son, Robby Sandlin (Stacey) of Saltillo; three daughters; Dena Griggs (Bob) of Tupelo, Nicci Sandlin of St. Amant, LA and Noel Sandlin of Saltillo; two brothers, Johnny Sandlin and Sammy Sandlin both of Saltillo; five grandchildren; Mason, Chase, Lexi, Shelby and Mary Carrson.
He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Sandlin.
Pallbearers include William Brazeal, Stuart Cockrell, Jerry Duffie, Roger May, Danny McCollum and Bill Williams.
Honorary pallbearers include the coffee drinkers at Brens Diner, left wing caf and the brothers of Masonic Lodge #294 in Saltillo.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
