Pratts - Robert Craig Bob Kneisly, 70, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Dayton, Ohio native, he was born November 23, 1938 to Ralph and Marietta Shoup Kneisly. He graduated from Avondale High School in Avondale Estates, Georgia. He then went on to the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee where graduated with a degree in political science. While at Sewanee he was a member of the football team and the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a 1st Lt. in the United States Marine Corps. He was co-owner of the Alf Company for 40 years where he served as president until his retirement in 2002. He helped establish and coach the girls soccer programs in Tupelo and Baldwyn. He was a Mississippi naturalist through studies at Crows Neck Environment Center. He was a devoted family man and served as a foster parent. Last year, he was inducted into the Sewanee Athletics Hall of Fame. He was a member of Baldwyn United Methodist Church.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bruce Little officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne of the Pratts Community, one dughter, Natalie Kneisly of Saltillo; three sons, Craig Kneisly (Cara) of Katy, Texas, Jody Kneisly (Jodi Lynn) of Pocono Mts, Pennsylvania, and Nathan Kneisly of Jackson, Tennessee; his father and stepmother, Ralph and Wilma Kneisly of Saltillo; nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marietta Shoup Kneisly; one daughter, Marie White; and one brother, Randy Kneisly.

Visitation will be noon until service time Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the funeral home.
