BOBBY GRIFFIN Tupelo - Robert " Bobby" Griffin, 79, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1936 to Vaudry and Clara Mae Johnson Griffin. Bobby was the co-owner of Griffin Sheet Metal, Heating and Air. He was a faithful charter member of Lee Acres Church of Christ for over 45 years where, with a servant's heart, he served as a deacon and other capacities as needed. He loved dogs, loved the outdoors and all activities outside, loved to piddle and was a master metal worker. Bobby loved his wife, his son and family. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Jerry Grammer and Minister Dale Carr officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of almost 58 years, Jane Turner Griffin; son, Mike Griffin; sister, Violet Smith; three brothers, Billy Joe Griffin (Martha), Ray Griffin (Rita) and Jerry Griffin (Mary Ann); sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Griffin, Mary Griffin Cox and Doris Turner; brother-in-laws, Gene, Joe (Shirley) and Wayne Turner (Peggy) and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Vaudry Griffin, Jr. and his wife, Edith, Carl Griffin and Jimmy Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and men of Lee Acres Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
