Obituary for Robert Edward Barnett
Tupelo - Robert Edward Bobby Barnett, 54, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia on June 19, 1957 to William R. and Francis Jo Walls Barnett. He moved to the Tupelo area with his family at the age of eleven and graduated from Shannon High School. He enjoyed gospel music.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Mr. Sammy Lansdell officiating.
Survivors include his mother, Francis "Jo" Walls Barnett Maroney of Daleville, AL; one brother, Thomas J. Barnett (Karen) of Wayne, IL; two sisters, Peggy Suzanne Barnett Watts (James) of Daleville and Jennifer Leigh Maroney of Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2005; his brother, William Michael Barnett in 2000.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, PO Box 706, Tupelo, MS 38802
