Robert W. Anger Sr.
TUPELO - Robert W. "Bob" Anger Sr., 80, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. A St. Louis native, he was born June 20, 1925. He was a graduate of Washington University and an army veteran, having served in New Guinea during World War II. He lived more than 40 years in Jackson working for Bostitch Inc. He had been a Tupelo resident for the past five years and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He enjoyed sports, especially the teams of Mississippi State.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Henry Shelton officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include five children, Robert W. "Bobby" Anger Jr. and wife, Carol, of Madison, Ellen Dean and husband, Joe, of Birmingham, Frank J. Anger and wife, Lori, of Tupelo, Laurie Macey of Orange County, Calif., and Carrie Anger of Memphis; 12 grandchildren, Matt Anger, Luke Anger, Sara Anger, Scott Dean, Leslie Dean, Stacey Anger, Kelly Anger, Eric Macey, Jennifer Macey, Kimberly Macey, Richard Boehms and Lauren Boehms; a special friend, Betty Kline Welch of Verona; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Maria Anger; one sister, Mary Fran Hand; and one brother, Walter Anger.
Pallbearers will be Matt Anger, Luke Anger, Eric Macey, Richard Boehms, Walter Anger, Terry Kruse and Randy Kruse.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.
