Robbie Haskell Gann

Tupelo - Robbie Haskell Gann, 90, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Hamilton, Alabama on August 31, 1921, to Elbert Stephen Belk and Lucinda Johnson Belk. She was a former long-time member of East Heights Baptist Church and a current member of South Green Baptist Church. She was a loving mother of six children. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Blake McCain and Rev. Ricky Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include six children, Robert Gann (Martha Jo), Steve Gann (Margaret), Perry Gann (Faye), Phil Gann (Debbie), Cindy Vaughn and Sherry Perkins (Mike); nine grandchildren, Heather Smith, Stephenie Lebel (Michel), Marsha Phillips (Roy), Jason Gann, Chad Vaughn, Megan Vaughn, Angela, Holly and Jessica Shook; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004, Robert N. "Bob" Gann; her parents; three brothers, Kelly Gene Belk, Elbert Marion Belk and Leroy E. Belk, Sr. Pallbearers will be Leroy Belk, Jr., Steve Thrasher, Jim Garrison, Jim Martin, Ralph Lacks and R.P. Owings. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Phil Jones and Dr. Daryl Schroader. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue on Wednesday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
