Mantachie - Rita Dry, 49, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. A Lee County native, she was born May 10, 1959 to C. A. and Betty McGlofin Davidson. She was employed at Belden Foam for 11 years. She was a Baptist. She loved gardening, flowers and crocheting. She was a very special friend and wife.
Private services were held. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Dry of Mantachie; one son, Jason Smith of Orlando, Florida; two daughters, Cindy Smith of Indiana and Linda Hall and her husband, Jerry, of Mooreville; seven grandchildren; her mother, Betty Christian and her husband, Gene, of Guntown; her father, C. A. Davidson of Tupelo; one sister, Latona Estes and her husband, Paul, of Belden; two brothers, Gary Davidson and his wife, Angela, of Starkville and Johnny Davidson and his wife, Brandy, of Tupelo; one stepsister, Denise Chatman of Guntown; one stepbrother, Dwight Christian and his wife, Jan, of Verona; her mother-in-law, Peggy Byrd; one special niece, Jasmine Byrd and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Davidson and one stepsister, Debbie Skaggs.
