RIPPLE CAYSON Mooreville - Ripple Cayson, 95, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Tupelo after a lengthy illness. She was born September 22, 1919, in Itawamba County to Charles Gilbert and Bertha Funderburk Hood. From a very early age, she moved to Mooreville where she lived nearly all her life. Being raised on a family farm, taught her a tremendous work ethic that she maintained throughout her life. Ripple by trade was a seamstress and worked many years in a number of area garment manufacturing plants, most notably, Blue Bell and Reed's Manufacturing. She was often referred to as having a "green thumb" and her flower gardens drew the attention of many admirers to take pictures and collect cuttings that Ripple was so generous to offer. She was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Eddie Boutwell officiating. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Helen Gable of Mooreville; two sons, Charles Rogers (Dot) of Saltillo and Kenneth Gillentine (Judy) of Nettleton; two sisters, Vivian McMillen, and Edna Foster both of Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Pam Irvin (Steve) of Smithville, Michael Gillentine (Tammy) of Amory, Tim Rogers (Kim) of Fulton, Tammy Richey (Sean) of Tupelo, Charlotte Dearman (Louie) of Tupelo, Gerald Martin of Mooreville, Gary Martin (Vickie) of Fulton, Debbie Lansdale (Jay) of Mooreville, and Glynn Martin (Addie) of Mooreville; 11 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Madge Thompson; five brothers, Billy Hood, Lloyd Hood, Bobby Hood, Tommy Hood, and Jr. Hood; one grandchild, Terry Rogers; and one great-grandchild, Daris Martin Pallbearers will be Michael Gillentine, Jamie Gillentine, Timothy Rogers, Glynn Martin, Gary Martin, and Joey Martin.
