Pontotoc - Ricky Dale Linley, 56, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018. He was born in Aberdeen to Thomas Alton "Al" and Lena "Jane" Smith Linley. Early in life, he worked at Southern Motion and Fusion and had also worked 11 years at Ashley Furniture. Later, he did some bulldozer work. For a number of years, Ricky proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed playing pool and being on his ski boat at Pickwick or Trace Lake. He loved motorcycle riding, being on his tractor and four-wheeler riding in the mud. If he was not on the water or riding around, you could find him tending to his vehicles. Ricky loved his children and grandchildren more than anything in this world. He was a member of West Heights Baptist Church.



Survivors include his wife, Deddie Linley of Pontotoc; his father, Al Linley and his wife, Kay of Richmond; his mother, Jane Coggin and her husband, Carroll of Plantersville; four children, Ricky D. Linley Jr. of Pontotoc, Taylor Linley of Pontotoc and Katelyn and Megan Linley of Pontotoc; three grandchildren, Clayton Patterson and Maddie and Mason Tutor; two sisters, Melissa Robinson of Pontotoc, and Ginger Little and her husband, Scott of Richmond; one brother, Thomas Tracy Linley of Pontotoc; two nieces, Sadie Little and Brandy Page; and one nephew, Derrek Robinson.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oneal and Lona Linley, and Harold and Eloise Smith; and one nephew, Randy Seale, Jr.



Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.



Services honoring his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with  Rev. Jeremy McMann and Rev. Rickey Pierce officiating. Graveside services will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Aberdeen.



Pallbearers will be Darrel Seale, Robby Johnson, Bobby Collumns, Dwayne Scott, Adam Russell, and Neal Turner.



Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Bass, Charlie Mack, Robin Taylor and Scott Hooker.



The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
