Tupelo - Richard Dean "Rick" Morgan, 45, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, he was born December 1, 1963 to Audie and Barbara Wages Morgan. He was a graduate of Tupelo High School and then attended Itawamba Community College. He worked a number of years as a restaurant manger. He loved music and worked as a disc jockey for several years. He also grew catus and was a gormet cook. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Tupelo, now Wildwood Baptist Church.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his parents, Audie and Barbara Morgan of Saltillo; his brother, John Adam Morgan (Teresa) of Tupelo; his special niece, Audrey Morgan; his aunt, Janice Garner of Tupelo; and two uncles, Melvin Wages (Mary) of Furrs and Carlton Wages (Kay) of Tupelo.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
