RICHARD LAPAK
Tupelo - Richard John LaPak, 86, died on Friday November 27, 2015 at the Green Houses at Traceway.  He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on March 10, 1929 to Frank and Bertha Stako LaPak.  Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.  On April 25, 1953 he married the love of his life, Eileen Adams, and began building a lifetime of memories.  Richard was a former resident of Fairfield Connecticut, Cincinnati, Ohio and North Fort Myers, Florida before making Tupelo his home in 2004.

Richard retired in 1994 as a sales engineer after twelve years of service with VerHill Associates and previously thirty years with the Burndy Corporation serving the electrical power industry. Some of his favorite past-times include woodworking, golfing, puzzles, crossword and cooking. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Services will be at 11 am Saturday December 12, 2015 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Father Lincoln Dall officiating.    Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Eileen LaPak of Tupelo, one daughter, Eileen LaPak Sharp (Jim) of Tupelo; two sons, Rich LaPak (Celia) of Greenville, South Carolina and Christian LaPak (Mary) of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Frank LaPak, Jr. of Newtown, Connecticut; one sister, Bertha Divine of Brookfield, Connecticut; nine grandchildren, J.R. Sharp (Carol Ann) of Nashville, Tennessee, Patrice Sharp of Tupelo, Kyle LaPak of Columbus, Ohio, Brent LaPak of Cincinnati, Ohio, Thomas LaPak, Katelyn LaPak, Dustin LaPak, Shane LaPak and Benjamin LaPak all of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; and one great-grandchild, Reese LaPak of Cincinnati.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bobby LaPak; and one grandson, Nathan Sharp.
