RICHARD BETHAY Fulton - Richard Anthony Bethay, 50, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Richard was born in Amory, Mississippi on March 30, 1964 to Russell and Shirley Gibbs Bethay. He was an employee for the 5th District of Lee County for 14 years. Richard enjoyed fishing and gardening. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Mike Hunter and Rev. Sammy Hardin officiating. Graveside services to follow at Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Russell and Shirley Gibbs Bethay of the Evergreen Community; a special nephew, Lee Bethay of Saltillo; one uncle, Sammy Bethay (Betty) of Tupelo; three aunts, Sarah Johnson (A. D.) of Amory, Linda Wall of Nettleton, Sandra Hill of the Evergreen Community and one sister, Gayle McAllister (Joel) of Saltillo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Daisy Bethay and James Dalmer and Mary Gibbs. Pallbearers will be Chris Gillenine, Keith Strawn, Mark Enlow, Danny Webb, Mike Barber and John Paul. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Schumpert, Johnny Kimble and the employees of the 5th District of Lee County. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
