Tupelo - Rhonda Wilson, 58, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Guntown native, she was born December 8, 1950 to Thomas Jefferson and Lila Vance Bishop Greene. She married Mitchell Wilson September 22, 1978. They made their home in Guntown until the mid 80s before moving to Saltillo. She worked in customer service with the furniture manufacturing industry at both Action Industries for 17 years and Independent Furniture for 7 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Guntown. She enjoyed working in her yard, being a homemaker, collecting porcelain dolls and especially time with the grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Mitchell Wilson; one daughter, Lacey Little and husband, B. J.; one son, Howard "Flip" Phillips and wife, Robin; one step-daughter, Tonya Carlock and husband,Jason, all of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Madison Little, Avery Little, Zack Phillips and Shelbie Phillips; three step-grandchildren, Brooke Carlock, Braxton Carlock and Bowen Carlock; one brother, Freddie Greene of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be David Baker, Tracy Chism, Mark Holt, Doug Gordon, Andy Hutcheson and John Prochaska.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at the funeral home.
