Reva Dyson
Guntown- Reva Mae Green Dyson, 67, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1955 to Walton and Florence Green in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Reva was a character, straightforward, never held in an opinion this earned her the nickname from her grandchildren, as “gangster granny”. She never apologized for being herself. She loved animals especially dogs, keeping an immaculate home, drinking a cold one, and smoking cigarettes. She had a big heart and enjoyed taking care of others and always stood up for her family. She attended Agape Ministries in Saltillo.
Reva leaves behind her son, Chad Dickens and his wife, Amy, of Mooreville; daughter and best friend, Kelly Dickens and her husband, Dustin Spradling, of Guntown; five grandchildren, Caylyn Burcham of Tupelo, Tyler Dickens of Tupelo, Thomas Burcham of Kansas, Lexi Dickens of Mooreville, and Lila Burcham and her fiancé Jett Miller of Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Lilyanna Howard and Mahley Walden; one sister, Tammy Lou Green of Virginia and her significant other, Carl Fleming of Corinth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bryan Anderson; and husband, Rod Kirk.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until services time Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Pegues, Saltillo.
A memorial service honoring Reva’s memory will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Rev. James Vandevander officiating.
