GENEVA REEDY COLLINS Tupelo - Geneva Reedy Collins died Thursday October 2, 2014, at Rosewood Residence. She was born March 16, 1919, to Newsom Luther and Purney Scribner Reedy. She was a lifelong resident of Tupelo and a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She retired after a 38 year career as a telephone operator. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Gayle Alexander officiating. Private burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include her son, Tom R. Collins (Gail) of Tupelo; Grandchildren, Emory Nash (Sheila) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Lauren Waldrop (Justin) and Tommy Collins of Tupelo; great grandchildren, Caleb Nash, Madison Nash, and Collins Waldrop; sisters, Glynn Servis of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Peggy Curtis of Selmer, Tennessee, and Barbara Prude (Cooper) of Tupelo. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Edward "Ed" Collins; her sisters, Lillian Estes, Dessie Cross; her brothers, Clyde, Dewey, Bill and John C. Reedy. Visitation will be 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 N. Church Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.
