REBECCA HILL Birmingham Ridge - Rebecca Hill, 92, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Greenhouses At Traceway. A Birmingham Ridge Community native, she was born February 24, 1921 to O. C. and Alliene Watson Coker. She was a lifelong resident of the Birmingham Ridge Community. She retired from Joyner/Fields of Tupelo after 30 years of service. She loved gardening, fishing and watching her special soap operas. She was a member of the Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Norris Wayne Hill (Alene) of Saltillo; one daugher, Lynette Dobbs (Bill) of Belden; four brothers, Alvis Coker (Dorothy) of Saltillo, Melvin Coker of Shanon, Dean Coker (Mary) of Belden and Paul Coker of Tupelo; one sister, Mildred Pannell of Okalona; five grandchildren, Richard Hill, Steve and Brad Dobbs, Rhonda Hill (Keith), Cheryl Stein (Eric) and Sheri Kyle; ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost sixty years, Roscoe Hill; five brothers, Leon, Wilburn, Roy, Lamar and Homer Coker; one grandchild, Terry Dobbs; one great-grandchild, Chris Edwards. Pallbearers will be Richard and Keith Hill, Steve and Brad Dobbs, Corby Kyle and Eric Stein. Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandchildren.
