Ralph Jones

RALPH JONES Okolona - Ralph Allen Jones, 80, passed away after a long illness Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton. Ralph was born in Lee County on November 27, 1934 to H. A. and Winnie Marie Estes Jones. He worked for many years in the furniture industry including owning and operating his own furniture manufacturing company. Ralph never lost his will and drive to work and continued working into his 70's as a security guard with United Furniture Manufacturing. He was an active member of Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona until his health began to decline. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at The Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jason Driggers officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his daughter, Angela Walker of Batesville, Arkansas; grandson, Billy Walker of Texas; four siblings, Mary Johnson (Jack) of Saltillo; Butch Jones of Tupelo, Mike Jones of Okolona and Libby Williams (Wayne) of Athens, Alabama He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Jones and his parents.
