Quina Mae Foster

Tupelo - Quina Mae Foster, 83, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at her home. A Tishomingo County native, she was born September 22, 1927, to Raymond Davis Collier and Verlon Bostick Collier. She was a 1945 graduate of Plantersville High School. She married Bill Foster April 27, 1946, who died January 7, 2010. She worked for Reed Manufacturing and retired from Rosato Clothing as a supervisor after 42 years of service. After retirement she enjoyed working part time for Chick-Fil-A in the mall. She loved to cook and enjoyed family get-togethers. Earlier in her life she enjoyed traveling with her husband to the Smoky Mountains and attending Bill Gaither concerts. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and was especially proud that her grandsons are all Eagle Scouts. She was a longtime member of Thomas Street Baptist Church

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Frank Panzrino officiating. Private burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Ann Kelley (Marcus) and Sheila Symes (Scott); one son, Danny Foster (Pam) ; five grandchildren, Kristen Cobb (Mark), Brad Foster, Kevin Foster, Ashley Symes, and Eric Symes; three great-grandchildren, Kelby, Drake, and Zayne Cobb all of Tupelo; four sisters-in-law, Rena McVay and Alice Collier Patrick, Eva Foster, and Minnie Vanderford; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and two brothers, Lewis Collier and Lonnie Collier.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Clarence Foster, Wayne Foster, Tim Foster, Paul McVay, David McVay, Hoyt Sheffield, George Sheffield, and James Sheffield,

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Vanderford, Robert Sheffield and Ronald Collier
.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday noon to service time.
